Being a mother alone can be hard sometimes - I know this from experience :)

I was in the Walmart a few weeks ago (please bear with me as I started a full time job and have NO TIME for anything else, it seems).

Feeding the Hungry

Am going out of town next week for two weeks.  My husband has always been very helpful around the house doing everything from cleaning, to laundry, to dishes, to grocery shopping, to all the usual "husband" things.  The one thing he never did like to do is cook.  So I have been preparing meals he can just heat up while I'm away so he doesn't have to worry about what he will have to eat -- and he does love to eat!

Mowing lawns

My husband mows the lawns for 3 widows in our neighborhood each week during the spring, summer, and fall.  He shovels their walks during the winter.

choosing not to waste...

about two weeks ago we bought a Huge bag of potting soil... so we could repot most of the plants in our apartment.  we used about 1/3 of the bag only.  for a few days we let it sit outside and thought maybe someone would know to take it, for a few days i thought about taking it to the dumpster to throw away... most the time i wanted to put a 'free' sign on it hoping someone would re-use it.  well... two days ago i was motivated enough to put the 'free' sign on the bag and move it into a more noticeable area...

as we were driving home from my game my room mate and i saw a giant polar bear beast of a dog roaming the street by himself...so after laughing at him, we realized he was lost...and pulled over. i yelled SIT out my window and he turned and came over to me, and bypassed me, got in my front door and crawled into the backseat. he's a giant white version of snuffaluffagus. we brought him home and called his owner on the tags..no answer...but we went to the address on the tags and found the owner....yay rescued polar bear!!

Helping young boy at Zoo find his parents

I was at the Zoo and found a young boy without this parents.  I took the time to keep him occupied while we found his parents.  I got him one of those pennies with the images on it, while Antonella went for the parents.
