I went to a free concert in Lancaster and noticed 2 women taking solo shots of each other. I walked over and asked if they would like me to take their picture. They were very nice and it took me about 30 seconds!! I did not even realize this was a good deed until it was pointed out to me!

My Coworker, My Friend
Submitted by JulieNewcomer on Mon, 07/27/2009 - 8:00pm.Instead of using my lunchbreak today to run errands, I helped out a friend of mine b/c she needed to drop/pickup her car and was saying she could walk back (it's about 90 degrees in Philly right now and 100% humidity...I could never let her do that!! I'm her friend!! So I drove to and from an auto place then after a few hours, we repeated the previous itinerary...it used the whole lunchbreak. L seemed a bit upset over me not using my break b/c she is just one of the sweetest people I have ever met. I was happy to help!
Family Time
Submitted by AlanGeorge on Mon, 07/27/2009 - 5:30pm.My cousin who lives In DC came to Philadelphia this past weekend, a city which he has never been to before. And we had the whole weekend to explore the City of Brotherly Love, in which we took full advantage. Nothing was left undone in the city, including the Liberty Bell, Philly cheesesteaks and everything in between. It was such a beautiful weekend to be outside and enjoy the wonderful parks that Philadelphia has to offer, and to be able to spend that time with my long lost cousin was such a blessing. Oh....
Family First
Submitted by PBun on Mon, 07/27/2009 - 3:59pm.Last week, I drove my mom and grandmother down to Florida to visit my aunt, uncle and cousin for my cousin's birthday. It was about 13 total hours there and back, but it wasn't really that much of a chore, sure it was boring at times, but they have done so much for me throughout my life that it didn't seem like that much of a big deal.
Giving comfort to a stranger
Submitted by Noniska on Mon, 07/27/2009 - 9:08am.A friend and I were sitting outside, chatting and enjoying the summer air, when a security officer for his building walked by. It was fairly late at night and the officer looked tired, so I invited him to join us. At first, he was quiet, so I asked him where he's from and if he has family here in Chicago. He told me he came here several years ago from Hungaria with his two daughters; one joined the Navy, the other lives in the area but rarely comes to see him. I could see the sadness and loneliness in his eyes, so I just sat there for a while, chatting with him.
Life lessons
Submitted by wuzupwrld1 on Sun, 07/26/2009 - 8:19pm.I work at a camp for children with disabilities as a second job because of how much I just enjoy being with the kids and watching them grow, and the lessons that they teach me are far more valuable than any monetary contribution I receive at this job. I help them become the independent, wonderful adults they can be if people would give them a chance and listen to them. I feel very blessed to be a part of this camp and a part of their lives!
Just Like Old Times

Doing The Right Thing...
Submitted by GoodDeeder on Thu, 07/23/2009 - 7:34pm.yesterday i was walking my two dogs and i noticed a credit card was laying in the grass off to the side of the path. i wasn't sure if someone would realize they lost it and maybe they would re-trace their steps to find it eventually, so i did not pick it up or do anything with it. today i took the same walk and noticed the same credit card was still laying there in the same spot. i picked up the credit card and brought it home with me... i cut it up into many pieces and disposed of it properly.
Good deeds of others....
Submitted by aileenstevens on Wed, 07/22/2009 - 6:08am.One of the things I love about working with my husband is seeing him interact with his patients. I enjoy hearing the comments from people he's been working on who can't say enough about the gentleness and compassion he shows them. I really did get lucky finding him and every day I am reminded why I love him. He truly cares about people and always goes the extra mile.
